1. Application

This railway well wagon is specially designed to transport super long and super high special vehicle or equipment by 1435mm standard gauge railway. With depressed center, the loading platform is lower than normal flat wagons. So the loaded goods could be higher and as long as 11m.


2. Main structures

D11 well wagon is mainly composed of chassis, two end plate assembly, two bogies, coupler & buffer and air brake system..

  • Chassis

The chassis is in the form of a concave bottom, welded structure, mainly composed of two box shaped side beams, two sleeper beams, six large beams, traction beams, end beams, floor, cover plate and lower cover plate, etc.

  • End plate assembly

End plate assembly is composed of end plates, end plate folding, end plate folding stoppers, and etc.

  • Air brake device

Railway air brake device’s main pipe pressure complies with 500kPa and 600kPa. It mainly consists of a 120 type control valve, an integral spinning sealed brake cylinder with a diameter of 356mm, an ST2-250 type bidirectional slack adjuster, and a KZW-A type empty and load vehicle automatic adjustment device.

  • Hand brake machine

It adopts Chinese NSW hand brake machine, whose hand wheel diameter 400mm, brake ratio is 27. The mounting height could be adjust according to customer requirements.

  • Coupler & buffer

It adopts Chinese No.13 bottom active coupler, forging yoke and MT-3 buffer.

  • Bogie

It adopts ride control 3 piece casting bogie. The bolster and side frames are casted by B grade steel. The damping device adopt assembled wedge device, whose main friction body made of polymer composite material, and wedge body made of bainitic ductile iron. The material of the side frame column wear plate is 45 steel, and the sliding groove wear plate is T10. It adopts two-stage stiffness springs and a lower center plate with a diameter of φ 355mm. The lower center plate is equipped with a conductive wear plate. It adopts 197720 compact bearings, RD2 axles, and LM wear type tread HDSA rolled steel wheels. The basic braking device adopts an austenitic ductile iron lining and a combined braking beam, spanning the beam. The braking beam frame is connected to the brake shoe holder with steel rivets.
