1067mm Cape Gauge Container Flat Wagon UIC Railway Flatbed Wagon

1. Application

The 1067mm cape gauge container wagon is designed for 1067mm railway lines. This vehicle is mainly used for transporting two 20’ containers or one 40’ container. Equipped with UIC air brake system, it is compatible with UIC standard freight wagons and locomotives.

2. Main structures

The structure of the 1067mm gauge container flat car mainly consists of the vehicle chassis, braking system, container locking device, coupler and buffer system, and bogie.

Chassis

The vehicle chassis adopts high-strength Q450NQR1 profile steel plate, which is currently commonly used by China Railway, with superior performance and meets the loading function of the vehicle.

Floor

To make the wagons more widely applied, the container wagon is paved with 6mm Q345B low alloy steel. So the flat wagons could transport some machinery, steels sometimes.

Container locking device

It installs 12 lock seats on the vehicle chassis to accommodate three application conditions: one 40 foot ISO container, two 20 foot ISO containers or one 20 foot ISO container in the middle.

Air brake device

The brake system adopts the Indian Escort’s single-pipe progressive brake system that complies with UIC standards. The system mainly consists of a distribution valve KE2cSL, brake pipeline, 12” brake cylinder, auxiliary air cylinder 75L, brake regulator DRV2A-600H, angle plug 1 1/4”, brake hose connector, etc.

Hand brake machine

It adopts Chinese NSW hand brake machine, whose hand wheel diameter 400mm, brake ratio is 27. The mounting height could be adjust according to customer requirements.

Coupler & buffer

The coupler adopts the AAR F70DE coupler, with a contour standard of AAR 10-A. Its material and mechanical properties meet the relevant requirements of AAR. The buffer adopts Chinese MT-3 type buffer, with a buffer capacity of no less than 45KJ, and the yoke is Y45AE made of cast alloy steel.

Bogie

The bogie is our self-developed small radius bogie, could pass 65m radius rail line. It is a three piece cast steel ride control type bogie, which adopts a control type inclined wedge damping device. The main components include wheelset assembly, bolster assembly, side frame assembly, bearing assembly, bearing adapter, foundation braking device, bearing spring, wedge vibration reduction, lower side bearing, and other components. The performance of the bogie meets the evaluation requirements of GB/T5599, and the strength design meets the requirements of TB/T1335.
