1. Application

NX20K 1520mm gauge container flat wagon is applied for 1520mm broad gauge railway in CIS countries like Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Russia. It is used to transport 20’ ISO containers and 40’ containers.

2. Main structures

This wagon is mainly composed of chassis, 1520mm gauge bogie, CA-3 coupler buffer, container lock device and 483A-03 air brake system and etc.

Chassis

The chassis are all welded structure, mainly composed of center bean, sleeper beam, side beam, end beam, and cross beam. The center beam is a fish-abdominal structure. The main section and plates are Chinese weathering steel Q450NQR1 high-strength weathering steel with a yield strength of 450MPa.

Container locking device

There are 20 units container locks on the chassis， 16 of which are foldable, and balance 4 units are fixed type.

Air brake device

The flat wagon is equipped with GOST standard air brake valve. It mainly consists of 483A-03 air distribution valve and its matching empty and loaded vehicle automatic adjustment valve, air reservoir, brake cylinder and РТРП675М slack adjuster, brake hose coupling and other components.

Hand brake machine

It adopts Chinese NSW hand brake machine, whose hand wheel diameter 400mm, brake ratio is 27.

Coupler & buffer

The coupler & draft gear device consists of СА-3 type coupler, MT-2 type buffer, CA-3 type yoke, follower plate, coupler lifting rod, support beam, suspension rod and yoke support plate, etc. So our flat wagons could be compatible with the existing GOST standard freight wagons and locomotives.

Bogie

The bogie adopts a 25t axle modern cast steel three-piece bogie, which we developed specially for 1520mm broad gauge railway. It is mainly composed of 2 wheel sets, 4 special adapters, 4 axle box rubber pads, 4 keys, 2 side frames, 1 bolster, 14 sets of double-wrap bolster springs, 4 sets of double-wrap damping springs, 4 damping wedges and basic brake devices.
